970 SLI Problems

Go to solution Solved by Godlygamer23,

I removed the top one and put the bottom one in its place.

Okay. Now put the card that was originally on the top in the bottom slot and try running SLI again.

So for about a month now I have only been using one of my 970's because when I enable SLI and start a game the starts flashing rapidly and makes the game unplayable. Any advice is much appreciated.

My specs:

i5 4690k

8 GB G-Skill Ripjaws RAM

ASUS Maximus Hero VI MOBO

MSI GTX 970 X2

250GB Samsung 850 EVO SSD

1T Seagate Barracuda HDD

Did you test the cards individually?

No, I will do this.

Report back when done - doesn't matter if you quote me or not. I'll get a notification either way.

Ok, So I tested out the second graphics card and it works completely fine. I don't think its a faulty GPU but rather a software, configuration, or a compatibility problem.

How did you test the second card? Did you remove the top one and moved the second one up or leave it where it is?

is it all games, or single titles?...

i have SLI970 runs perfectly, but at World of Warships, a little guilty pleasure, graphical issues with "flashing" and WIERD graphical errors, like miscalculaion of vector coordinates appears, but i´m quite sure that that is the game, since every other game runs without any hickups.

so sometimes a driver and / or game will have issues with a setup, this began for me at the latest driver, just too lacy to revert, since it´s only in menu
