Best Wireless Headset $100-200?

Hi all,

 

I've come here in the past for help regarding headsets, and was pleased with the responses and friendliness of the community. My headset just broke (Corsair Vengeance 2000, broke on the adjustment arm). They broke in the past, I got them RMA'd, now the new set has broken. The first pair lasted around 8 months, this pair has lasted about a year. 

 

I'm looking for a new wireless headset in the $100-200 USD range. This headset cost around $120 at the time I bought it. I'm thinking about getting the Corsair H2100 (looks like the successor to the model I have?), they're priced at an impressive $80 on Amazon. I've been satisfied with the sound quality of these headphones, as well as the battery life and comfort. Overall I'm looking for something with a better build quality, something that will hopefully last 2-3 years, as well as something with good sound and comfort. 

 

Could anyone give some suggestions? I'm leaning toward the H2100's due to their low price point and that I love my Vengeance 2000's (besides the build quality). I've heard they have better build quality, but I'm not sure how much better. I don't beat my headphones up by any means, but they are used daily under normal wear.

If you really need something wireless, then the 2100 will probably be your best bet. If you are willing to get wired headphones then you could get much better quality, but the 2100 isn't terrible if you can't stand wires.

What are you using headsets for?

 

if it's gaming, then you'll have to get wired though.

I have V 2100's (same Headset different name as H2100's) and I love it!

i have wireless turtle beach set becaues i break wired sets due to cord damage too easily for example. so yes wireless is an important market for people like me

The worst thing is the latency that comes with wireless headsets... which is dealbreaking for competitive gaming.

You have to deal with batteries, imo nothing more annoying than having to swap batteries while in-game.

Can be static, especially if near a router or something

Audio quality not as good as wired (fact)

Also microphone not as good as wired

 

it's still up to you if you can live with all this or not.
