4790 vs 4690k

Go to solution Solved by GrimNeo,

CAD and gaming.

Go with the 4790 then.

Which is better? I can OC the 4690K but the 4790 has more threads and is faster out of the box.

I am buying a LAPTOP and these are my two options in my budget. Desktop CPU in a laptop... cant wait xD:P

4790. Don't overclock on your laptop.

People have got 4.4Ghz on the 4790k on this laptop, cooling isnt a problem, just which will offer the best performance.

I remember that. I remember seeing how much the most expensive laptop I could configure on there would cost!

I'd say 4690k if you can overclock.

Sig under construction.
