960 2g vs 4g

Go to solution Solved by RollinLower,

if you want to be able to game for another 2 years you'll definitely want the I5.

so if you reaaaaaally need an Nvidea card get the 2GB one.

so i wanna know if getting a 960 4gb will be beneficial or if i should put that money towards a better cpu (i5 vs i3) which one will be more beneficial i know that games these days are using more and more vram and benefiting from more cores which one would be more viable in the long run

the pc will be like this for atleast 2 years and near the and of the gpu or cpu's gaming life i wouldnt mind bumping dow settings a little to keep fps high

thx

Rule of thumb, never get a Vram buffed low end - mid tier graphic card. You can get a R9 290 or R9 280x at this price.

R9 280x or R9 290 .

I would really spend the little extra and get the R9 290 if you can get the i5, otherwise get a R9 280x/ R9 280 and a i5

Depends on your prices though .
