So do I and I'm getting the MSI Gaming 770 2GB OC. (I have a PB278Q) and according to reviews it only really makes a noticeable difference when you get to resolutions like 5760x1080.

Really? Thanks for the input!

Thanks, I may get another 120GB or 250GB SSD later for only games.

That's my current setup.

2 x 120GB SSDs. One for OS and a few games, the other for games.

I plan to play at 1440p at some point

Really? Thanks for the input!

Yep, 4GB of RAM is only necessary at those really high resolutions like with Eyefinity or 4K. And AA really has a lot to do with that, which you won't need much AA at 1440p depending on the size of the monitor (I forget what you got). PPI has a lot to do with how important AA is to gaming.

I got a better PSU(AX760), kept the 250GB SSD, and downgraded to the 770 2GB.

Why not get a 7970 at a lower price with better vram and similar performance?

With proper airflow, you can even overclock to 4-4.2ghz on stock.

If you're not overclocking, you'll be fine.

Thanks, I'll probably get an H100i just a month or so after I do my initial build and I'll overclock then

That's why I was making a suggestion, even knowing that the chances of getting a 4770k with overheating is bigger than the previous gen. At least buy a cheaper cooler just for guaranty.

If a cpu overheats at stock, return it.

If it's heating up during overclock, that's normal.

If it's too hot I'll underclock it till I get an aftermarket cooler
