What kind of Skyrim mods can I run with r9 280

whatishacks
Go to solution Solved by UnknownEngineer,

I had the same GPU before this, let me tell you, lots.

I had texture overhauls for every single thing that I could come across in the game environment, trees, water, rocks, wet rocks, leaves, snow... I could go on.

I also had a (supposedly) demanding ENB active. (going to look for it)

EDIT: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/15105/?

And no I am NOT going to link texture mods for you.

EDIT: Here is my list, I have actually not added any mods since my switch to a GTX 970.

And in these 3 images you will only find the ones that can have an effect on performance and graphics... GET MODDING OP!! YOU GOT A BIT OF CATCHING UP TO DO!

make sure to take full advantage of all the performance enhancing mods/edits... they will allow you to push your modding capabilities

-- fixes skyrim's crap memory allocation allowing you to load more stuff without the game crapping the bed-- modds that add AI or increase effects, objects loaded ect

-- explains the performance boosting effects of enb (can be used with or without the lighting enhancements) free ram from loading textures allowing for better performance when using detailed texture packs.

these are 2 lengthy but really good tutorials, this guy is great for Bethesda mods all round...

Cpu:4670k- at stock.... for now Gpu:r9-280x crossfire Cooler:KrakenX40 MB:mpower SP Ram:8gb hyperX beast

A lot dude. I'm using a gtx 960, and i have real enb, plus a host of other mods (around 75 total) there's a guide for modding in reddit, be sure to get all the performance mods first. After that, for some eye candy, get an enb, maybe a high resolution texture mod or two.

Pick there. It's next level stuff.

Current rig: CPU: i5 4460; MoBo: Asrock H81m-VG4 r2.0; GPU: Zotac GTX 960 Metal Gear Solid; RAM: Kingston Hyper X Fury 8GB: PSU: Cooler Master VS 500; Case: Cooler Master N200 Window; Heatsink: Cooler Master Hyper 212x;

I'm guessing anything as long as it's not some ridiculously huge textures or some of the more intensive ENB mods, even then you could probably lock at 30fps and play fine. Also depends on your processor, script heavy mods can really slow you down if your CPU can't keep up

Nude Fist 1: i5-4590-ASRock h97 Anniversary-16gb Samsung 1333mhz-MSI GTX 970-Corsair 300r-Seagate HDD(s)-EVGA SuperNOVA 750b2

Name comes from anagramed sticker for "TUF Inside" (A sticker that came with my original ASUS motherboard)
