Router is Samsung SWW-3200RM we already have the ethernet connection set up but don't know how to set up wifi. the cd that has the installation info does not work in the optical drive 
(does not open) the pc is running windows vista

 

 

SOLVED NVM THE PASSWORD WAS ON THE ROUTER *Facepalm*

first...do yourself a big favor and install windows 7 or 8

 

next login to the router web gui and setup the wifi

you can check the address of the router by doing this

start...run.....type cmd....press enter

type ipconfig in the new black window

the default gateway is the address of the rotuer

type that into chrome or firefox

i cant right now all I have is a old pc on vista and a laptop without a optical drive on windows 7

Try typing 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1 into your browser with the ethernet connected.

ok nevermind, i did that on the windows 7 laptop. now what do i do
