It's the "system". I got that from the task manager. I'm using a GTX 860. What program do you suggest I use to check the temperatures?

You can use CoreTemp.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

Also, did you check the "show system processes" tab?

Yes, I've shut it off multiple times. If "show system processes" is "processes" (in Task manager), then yes. If they're different things, I don't know where to find it...

And now my system went down to the normal CPU, which is 0.1-5%...

I've had it on the "downloading updates" for ten minutes now, and it hasn't gotten anywhere. Any idea what's wrong?

are you using wifi or some other bad connection?

Wifi, and I have full connection.

EDIT: Okay, it's finally installing. I don't know what took so long for it to start.

sometimes it takes a while to get the right updates from MS and make a secured connection

it would be extremely bad if hackers could insert malicious software into your windows updates...

20+ minutes to do that? It hasn't done that for me before.

Reboot.

I said I already did that?

Maybe double check that it is the actual "system" instance that should be running?

In Taskmanager go to the details tab and check if it says "NT Kernel & system" under description. File size should be around 200kb.

Rightclick the process and choose something like "open source location" or "open file location" (not sure how it's called, my windows is not English). the file should be called "ntoskrnl.exe" and should be located in the system32 folder.
