First time and all out should not be in the same sentence unless you plan on working with another person. No matter how many videos you watched, you might mess up. Not saying that you WILL but there is a higher chance, and what are you going to be using the build for? Rendering, Gaming, etc?

http://pcpartpicker.com/p/bV8tycThe industrial fan just to make it look better. Use the noctua fan from the cooler to put in the top of the noctua for more air flow. If you want a NZXT Green LED 140mm fan for the back mount.

I have a friend who has built a bunch of pcs, and I also allready have storage and an operating system.

WHY are you buying a 350$ mobo for a single GPU rig

Get the MSI SLI plus its 250$

And if ur only gaming X99 is so pointless...

But they are noisy AF. Legit i had the 3000 rpm ones at 50% speed and its like a blow dryer, great quality fans that move alot of air, just loud.

Hi! This is my first time building a pc and I want to go all out. I was thinking about the 980 ti and an x99 motherboard. Do you think this is a good build?http://pcpartpicker.com/p/PF9mpg

More than likely completely overkill for your uses, unless you're doing a heavy amount of video editing, encoding, 3D modeling, etc. Also, the Deluxe is a great board but entirely unnecessary if you do not need Wifi or bluetooth, the Sabertooth or X99-A are much more sensible options. Last thing would be the cooler. If you're going all out for every other component you might as well get a good AIO, H105 or X61 would be optimal if the case allows it (I've never built in an H440).

What? The noctua industrial or the NZXT ? Guessing the Noctua. I just picked it from personal preference. You can easily pick a different 140mm Fan :)

The noctuas lol

How load were they with like headphones on

?, Remeber everything in a case made for silence won't be as loud, it won't be silent but it just won't be as loud. So with headphones, a silent case. It will probably still sound like a blow dryer I'm assuming. That's bad if so xD. Any black fan with low decibals will work as long as it's 140mm or if he doesn't care about looks just use the one it comes with.

If all you are doing is gaming then you are throwing money away going with the X99 platform. What resolution will you be gaming at? If you aren't going above 1080p again you are throwing money away with the 980ti. I understand that this is your first time building a pc, but you don't start building a pc by picking the best performing parts and calling it a day. You figure out what you want to do with it, then pick appropriate parts.

My rig:
CPU: i5 4690k 24/7 @4.4ghz (1.165v) Max 4.7ghz (1.325v) COOLER: NZXT Kraken X61 MOBO: Asus Z97-A   RAM: 16GB Crucial Ballistix Tactical   GPU: EVGA GTX 970 SSC   PSU: EVGA GS 650W   CASE: NZXT Phantom 530 HDD: WD Caviar Blue 1TB + WD Black 2TB
