whats wrong with it?

Well, the macbook air uses integrated graphics, which aren't good

 

 

Because for 1300$ i can get a gaming laptop with more than double the performance.

ok, no need for a flame war

 

 

This needs to be locked for trolling

Im actually going to give him a legitimate solution: Your problem is most likely the thermal throttling on your Macbook Air. The CPU/GPU in there is enough for MC but if you cant keep it cool, it will sit at 100C and throttle down while playing, resulting in big frame drops and it sitting around 20 FPS (in situations that I have seen myself)

 

Drill holes in the bottom of the case where the fan pulls in air and elevate the laptop. Use SMCFancontrol to ramp up the fan. That should do the trick. take your time and make the holes clean if you want it to look nice
