Audio Leakage DT 880

Hey guys,

 

Does anyone know of the audio leakage on the DT 880's? I want to do podcasting/YouTube and the headphones need to be quiet enough so that a cardioid mic cannot pic it up. If the leakage is too high, would you guys recommend the DT 770's?

I've never really heard the leak from my K7xx so i think you should be good

Well they are open headphones so yeah.

If your mic is sensitive enough it will pick it up, for your case id get the 770's

People can sometimes hear my music from the next room and I don't usually listen terribly loud. I don't know how well a mic would pic it up, though. 770 is recommended if you're concerned.

I have a DT 990, which is close to the DT 880, paired with a blue yeti, and my mic hasn't been able to ever pick up audio leakage, I think you should be fine.

Thanks guys! I was considering jumping on the 990's but I thought that would be even worse. Just in case though, I will end up getting the 770's.
