Problems with Corsair Link

Go to solution Solved by yuh25,

Found the problem, I had the window too small and for some reason "Link" decided to have 3 "devices" per fan/pump so it only showed the top ones which happend to be stuck on 0, While the real ones were right down the bottom of the window.

Seems to be working fine and I can control everything again :D

So I only just noticed that corsair link isn't showing the fan RPM's and the LED's aren't on while using Windows 8. I'm using 1.0.5 firmware on the H100i and corsair link 2.3.4816.

Nothing should have changed since the last time it was working and I've checked all the connections.

The LED works on boot but dies once Windows loads up

Problems with LEDs are common on the H100i.

You might have to RMA it.

Problems with the H100i are very common. RMA it and hope you get one of the "good" units.

Well since its only the LED that seems to have stopped working I won't bother.

Was only hoping for a quick and painless solution =\

two things:

one would be to try another USB port on the motherboard, re-initialize and retest.

two would be to try the new 2.44948

another from reading in the Corsair Forum was try and not have the color setting

too deep (255) seems any number other than 000 or 255 on the color slider tends

to have issues.

Change Log:

Version 2.4.4948-Beta
• LED configuration panel will hold settings after reboot/shutdown of the system.
• Firmware Update Improvements

• Progress information for the user

• Additional CRC verification step

• Automatic retry if an error occurs

• Revised the two default “Light” and “Dark” theme’s. “Light” is now default.
• White is now the default font color for the UI
• If you have manually saved the profile and not made any changes you will NOT be prompted to save again when exiting the program.
• Memory leaks fixed
• CPU Avg Temp and Activity labeled as such to mirror AFP naming
• LED mode change improved
• General options modes for Celsius and Fahrenheit cannot be unselected
• LED now remembers different “normal” and “cycle step 0” colors; these are NOT saved in the Lighting Node however, and must be saved in the profile (otherwise it will come up as black)
• LED temperature mode Fahrenheit bug corrected
• LEDs can now be controlled by load devices (e.g., CPU or AFP)
• LED mode is now correctly set when changing back to normal mode
• Fixed watchdog conflict with boot-loader
• LED Pulse mode works without profile having been saved
• Groups can be selectively hidden; alternately all formerly hidden groups can be shown
• Fixed spelling of Celsius and some other grammatical errors

Version 2.3.4816:
• Added support for Windows 8
• Windows 8 Support
• New Hardware Detection and Monitoring Engine
• Firmware flashing to Commander units prior to firmware 2.06 now supported
• CPU temperature for all AMD platforms now supported.
• Device Icon’s now have three selectable sizes
• Communication between multiple devices has been improved

Corsair is usually running 30-45days on firmware/software revisions till the

issues are addressed.

I decided to try a firmware update which has fixed the LED issues but I still can't control the fan speeds.

@airdeano I tried changing the USB port which didn't seem to work and every time I uninstall CorsairLink and install the beta version it stays on the old one for some reason(I've tried rebooting before the install)
