Some websites have bullshit ios pop up ads, either dont visit those sites, or get the dedicated app if available

So, I'm not much of an apple user but my mum is and recently she is watching stuff on dailymotion (don't ask me why). Basically whenever she hits the "play" button on the website, the site redirects to an ad page and opens some random app on app store. A look around the internet reveals similar experiences but no real solution. Help please! (ad pop up is blocked)

Can't it just be the ad provider of that site?

And otherwise ,just check all apps to see if there's something spooky.. But I don't expect that to be the cause, because iOS
