Hi there,

 

this is my first build and am wondering if there can be any chages made. this is not meant to be a gaming computer. this build is meant for the teen who might want to game and is able to do so (able to upgrade parts later on). my budget right now is about $450 (edit;was 550 but including shipping and taxes its about $550). pleadse let me know if you have any suggestions and tips. please inform me if there are any bottlenecks.

Switch the APU for a modern Richland. It has more processing power for the price. And Instead of the blue i recommend a Green series. Very reliable!

FX6300 isnt much more and i would get that, you can upgrade more things (like gpu and are not locked in to the cpu)

to future proof it and make it easy to upgrade components later date its importand to start with a good motherboard, a 990fx chipset would be recommended and like someone else said a FX6300 would work well and give plenty of performance whilst retaining low power useage and stay cooler and quieter.

 

atleast go for a piledriver chip ad not bulldozer

got to love Asus components

A 990fx mobo is too expensive for this budget.
