I'm getting the Shield Pro in a couple days and needed to know something. Keep in mind though that the shield pro will literally be about a foot or so away from my ac router. I plan on doing gamestream and all that bandwidth hungry stuff. My question is if it's ok to do AC instead of wired because of the CLOSE range the console will be to the router. Or if I will get lag and anything else to throw off my gaming and stuff to make me go to wired. Any help in deciding will be great!!!!

Wired > wireless.

You will get a stronger connection.

Wired is always the best option but you can try it for yourself in this situation.

With a good router it won't make that big of a difference.

If it's possible always use wired. You'll get a lower latency connection and it won't be shared with other devices. At the very least it'll mean that you're not clogging up the airwaves for devices other than your Shield.
