115V AC or 230V AC

After reading and seeing some PSU efficiency graphs, I noticed that the 230V AC input is always more efficient. So I started wonder, how do I know/tell if I am using the 115V AC or the 230V AC and what is the difference between the two?

Because where you live there is only 115V

230V is places like europe or south america or some other countries

220-240V ac is just more efficient

where you're located. the UK i believe uses 220-230. also, in the us/canada certain things use 220-240 such a electric stove or a hot tub
