Why isn't there split screen for pc.

Does anybody know how to split-screen on a pc, I hate using my Xbox just because i don't want to get 2 pcs and 2 copies of the game.

I would love to be able to split screen on pc.

because you would have to have 2 mice and keyboards, which windows cant recognize afaik

also, youd be sitting next to each other.... awkward?

Some game on pc allow it. Plus pc are really only suited for one person at a time

I wouldn't mind having two controllers.. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be that hard to make windows 10 be able to recognize two controllers.

controllers are different, but i guess that it might work.

windows 8 and 7 and xp all reconizes as many controllers as you want. its up to games to decide if they want to put splitscreen in.

Some can be played Split-Screen, either with another keyboard and/or mouse or a controller.

I too hate that many games don't support this on PC anymore.

Even console split screen are dying out.

Even a controller + kB w/ mouse would be fine and would be a super fun experience.

Yeah now games are like "Local Network" instead of split-screen.

Why do consoles have split screen and pc are obviously more capable of playing split screen so why is nobody trying to solve this issue?

Is it only because of windows limitations. Or lazy game developers.

It's neither, it's mostly because developers don't see it as a necessary feature.

Some games have it (Goat Simulator!), but it sucks since most PC people have smaller monitors.
