Need help Upgrading

So i currently have a Gigabyte GTX 770 GDDR5-2GB 2xDVI/HDMI/DP OC WINDFORCE 3X and i want to upgrade to a 9 series.... the only problem is i dont know if it is worth it. Am i gaining any visual upgrades? i want to go with a 970 and am leaning towards the strix edition. If you have any suggestions please feel free to tell me.

What games do you play, and at what resolution. That will be the deciding factor as to weather you need to upgrade.

 

Getting a better gpu only makes the game run faster... It wont look any better unless you increase the settings...

I don't really see any reason to upgrade from a 770 to a 970. But it depends on the reason why you want to upgrade?

it is actually quite an upgrade. The 970 performs about the same as a 780ti. While being more power efficient with more features.

It really comes down to the usage. I'm still on a GTX660 and I'm waiting for the next gen GPU's to be released before upgrading.

I play games such as Dota 2, Call of duty, Watch dogs, Metro, assassin's creed, just popular games in general and I don't go over 1920 or something like that. I do ever do 4k

I wouldn't upgrade.

FX-9XXX will do great with a GTX 970! :D
