GPU's prices

Hey guys can anyone help me to decide to either pick a gtx 960 for the price of 300 dollars or a gtx 970 for 460 dollars the reasons for the insane amount of price is because I live in a third world country so I really need your help to decide, any kind of help would be appreciated

The 960 isn't worth the price, if you only want nVidia go for the 970, otherwise I'd go for the 280x as a good choice.

are amd gpus available? may be way cheaper. the 960 will be disappointing for 300$(us anyway)

The 970 as a good price/performance ratio. Also chances are you will not upgrade for a while with those prices. The 970 will hold out for longer.

the r9 280 is about the same as the 960 about 10 dollars of difference the 280x is about 360 dollars and i can't find a 290 in where i live

Make sure to also have somewhat of a beefy PSU. AMD cards tend to be more power hungry than Nvidia

i'm planning to build one, the prices here are outrageous an i5 4460 is like 250 bucks and the rest is just as overpriced compared canada or the us, so really a hard time of choosing these parts
