If you can afford it and you have a nvidia gpu then it's worth getting but if you don't have a nvidia gpu then don't get it.

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

Its up to you, if you see the advantages fit for the extra money you are paying.

 

Although if you want 1440p ips, and 120hz, gsync is the way to go (you can get Korean monitors that may be able to oc, but it can be iffy)
