Hey everyone!

So I'm new here, but I came here to get help from you guys!

So I've been looking for good price to performance parts for my new PC (for which I'm gonna work in the summer).

Here's my parts list:

CPU: AMD Athlon II x4 860k @3.8 GHz, quad-core, FM2+ socket

GPU: Gigabyte GTX 750 Ti

MOBO: haven't decided yet, but I want expendability for sure

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB stick

PSU: haven't decided yet, but probably a 500w PSU from EVGA

Storage: WD Blue 1 TB

Case: haven't decided yet, but I don't need a flashy case

What do you think about the parts? (I know a couple of them is missing, but that's why I'm here :))

I don't really want to spend too much more than 500$.

If I made a mistake please tell me, because this is going to be my first build from scratch.

Thanks for reading and for your help! :)

Cheapest OK mobo is Asus A88XM-Plus; 4+2 VRM with Heatsink enough to OC your CPU 1.45v+ without frying them.

I would go for nVidia as its drivers use lesser CPU (im not lying, find some info in youtube) which is nice because this CPU is really limited compared to i5/i7

Also, 2400MHz make a 5% difference in this CPU, you should try them if price difference is no more than 5$/€

AMD 860K @ 4.3GHz ; Kingston HyperX Fury 2400MHz ; Asus A88XM-Plus ; Sapphire R9 270X 2GB ; 600W Tacens Radix VII AG 80+Silver  ; Cooler Master TX3 Evo

The 270x costs almost as much as a EVGA GTX 750 Ti FTW edition

Then I would go for the 270x

I personally noticed it in GTAV in populated areas, the difference is small but it helps.

I guess a Gigabyte R9 270x would be cheaper for me, but I don't know if there's performance difference between the two.

Its a 1.4 TFLOP difference, and its a quite a bit faster noticeablely in lots of games, so its up to your preference.

I thought I had some money... Oh wait... I spent it all ;(

But the GTX 750 Ti would be fine for me I guess, because I would use an old CRT monitor until I get enough money to buy a new one.

If you get an R7 260x or 265, it preforms basicially the ,ame and even better then the GTX 750ti, but cheaper so u can buy a new monitor with ur purchase.

The two AMD options are cheaper than the 750 Ti, but really? Now I'm gonna look it up, but thanks for pointing that out!
