Hi,

So I was running a speed test today and decided to try it on different browsers.

The results are as follows;

Browser                   -  Download / Upload

Internet Explorer  - 450mb / 45mb

Firefox                       - 330mb / 200mb - With Tracking Cookies

Firefox                       - 770mb / 930mb - Without Tracking Cookies

Chrome                     - 740mb / 880mb

Opera                         - 790mb / 910mb

I tried multiple times on each browser and the results fluctuated by 10-20mb but they were fairly consistent.

Has anyone else tried this and what sort of results have you got?

Edit : Got told about Firefox Tracking Cookies, re-ran test and updated above chart

-snip-

For me only the latency changes, and the funny thing IE shows the best results. And chrome that shows the worst. In ideal conditions my latency is 0ms, download 42Mbps and upload 70Mbps. I actually pay for a symmetric 40Mbps connection. Download/Upload speeds are the same on other browsers but the latency jumps up to 15ms on Chrome which is strange...

the one that says you have 0 latency is false, you cant get 0 ping.
