Hello, I noticed my PC was quite loud so I decided to get SpeedFan to see what was going on. After a regular 2 hour gaming session on Battlefield 4 my CPU went up to 70C and GPU went to and around 63 on my graphics card. These seem very got, are they safe? How many intake and extake fans do you recommend?

Nah, 70 and 60 C are very much fine.

You should be worrying if you get 84-90+ C

That is safe, I wouldn't worry unless they are constantly over 80 degrees.

Ahh k, thanks. That is a relief. I only have 1 intake and 1 extake fan at the moment but I have a fan splitter coming at the moment to make my other top extake fan that is over the motherboard area that might help. Might the CPU be because lack of thermal paste as I dont think I put enough. I put like a pea size blob of the stuff.

CPU get to around 70 and then doesnt go any higher. Here is a pic off my SpeedFan with GPU and CPU starting cooling down after gaming. CPU tend to take a fair while longer than GPU to get back to normal temps but I guess GPU is no longer under load. Is the Cooler Master Hyper 212 my best bet for a CPU cooler?

6 in a week or so

not long enough for problems to surface. to be clear, every cpu is different and it's possible that you have a great chip that can take high temperatures without problems. But if you keep running at 80c it is very likely that your cpu will die in a couple of years or so.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨
