Minimum power requirements

Hi guys I'm thinking of buying this because I do light video editing and play minecraft on my computer, and the lag is starting to bother me.

My computer right now has a 270w power supply because its a pre-build HP AMD athlon 2.7 ghz system. With integrated graphics that are horrible.

The page for the video card shows a minimum power requirement of 300w.

 

Will the card work in my system? I have a pcie lane open, and this card doesn't require any power plugged into it..

 

I'd prefer not to upgrade my psu btw.

It should work fine. The GT 610 has the maximum power draw of only 29 watts.

The card isn't worth buying imo. 

 

Save up for a better card.

Preferably, I would not do it. Your system will let you know if your drawing to much by shutting down. (Correct me if I'm wrong please!)
