$50 Graphics Card?

Go to solution Solved by WoodenMarker,

if i were you i would keep using onboard gpu until i get enough cash to get a beast card because haswel has pretty beast onboard graphics

Only for mobile chips. Haswell for desktops don't boast the same graphics.

Still, I agree to wait to get a better gpu and just use the onboard for now.

Hey, is there a $50 graphics card that beats Haswell integated graphics? I ask because I'm building a computer in a couple weeks, but won't have money for the graphics card until Christmas. Thanks!

Best for  that price range, the 6670 is even better and the 7750 also but they are above.

Onboard graphics are pretty beast nowadays. You're better off saving those 50$ and investing them on christmas :)!

Yeah, I would suggest getting a second hand graphics card from eBay. You can get an NVIDIA 8800GTX for $20, if you get two for $40 and SLI, you can still play most games out there on medium-high and get >30fps. I know because I still have an NVIDIA 8800GTX, it runs Skyrim, GTA IV with tons of mods at medium settings over 30fps. You could run it on high with two in SLI getting >40fps though. Just a suggestion.

Look at some tests the 4GB aren't worth it. You get like 1 frame more!

Yeah, unless you run WQHD/multi-monitor setups, don't get the 4GB version of the GTX 770. In fact, if you have to wait until Christmas, get the new Radeon flagship card instead (9970 or R9-xxxx). It should beat the GTX 780, and maybe even Titan.
