PSU noise?

Go to solution Solved by beach_boy98,

yeah its clean, its a new psu, its the CX750m bronze 80 plus psu

perfectly normal. They don't use the best fan in that psu.

Don't trust what you phone says about noise levels, it's not that accurate. PSU's will make a fair amount of noise under load. What type of noise is it making? A high pitch noise (known as coil whine) is completely normal, as this is just a magnet inducing electricity (to put it simply). Loud fans are also normal under load, however you might want to inspect the unit to see if something like dust is blocking the fan.

If you want my attention, quote my post or I will not see it. I ignore builds that do not use PCPartPicker.

it seems to be like a normal fan sound except from a psu, doesnt sound bad, im just surprised a psu makes this much noise, for example, when i disabled all my other fans, i could hear the PSU, is that normal?
