Random reboots, BSODs and other issues

Well, I have quite a new build (parts varying from 4 months to few days old) and I am already suffering from issues.

 

At random moments, both displays (I have 2, both hooked up to GPU) just go black and Windows is booting up again.

In some cases, a BSOD also appears, as I can see from minidump files.

My Skype refuses to log in due to disk I/O error.

Also, not sure if related to this, my Chrome opens up the Chromium page every time I start Chrome.

 

I installed clean and legitimate Windows 8.1 Pro 64-bit on Tuesday, issues have occurred ever since.

My PC specifications are:

Intel i7-4790k, not overclocked at this moment, cooled by Corsair H110i GT

MSI Z97 Gaming 7 motherboard

4x 4GB Crucial Ballistix Tactical 1600 MHz

Zotac GeForce GTX 970 4GB GDDR5

Samsung 850 PRO SSD 256GB, 2TB Seagate HDD

Corsair RM750 PSU

 

SSD SMART looks all OK. I will be running a memtest86 later today to check the RAM just in case. I ran "sfc /scannow", found some corrupt files, used "dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth" and it completed successfully. Problem still exists. I'm out of ideas at this moment.

Hmmm. If this is a new build check to see whether you have used all of the correct mobo standoffs, and you haven't got any where there are no screw holes which could be short circuiting the board. Also check for any overheating and make sure your H110i is seated properly.

CPU temps are fine, around 30-40 Celsius at idle, peaking about 50-60 when pushed harder.

 

I will check the standoffs shortly.

that looks like a memory issue to me.

 

on a less happy note: i had a system with the exact same list of BSOD reasons, and to this day i never figured out what exact component was broken...

but i'll take a bet on RAM here, because thats the one component i actually confirmed as broken on before mentioned system.

Also, to add - Dropbox is unable to start due to permissions error. I can not push memtest86+ to my USB stick due to no access (using Rufus).

I let the memtest86 to run for 3 hours (after I managed to get it on the USB drive), however the layout was messed up and I could not read anything from there. http://puu.sh/hXEvc/e697768ebb.jpeg

I managed to get Dropbox running by using these two commands:
icacls "%HOMEPATH%\Dropbox" /grant "%USERNAME%":(F) /T
icacls "%APPDATA%\Dropbox" /grant "%USERNAME%":(F) /T

 

Rest are still bugging.

I have reinstalled Ethernet drivers (for Qualcomm E220x) and graphics drivers.

It was stable for 2 days without no BSODs, but today, I have already gotten two.

 

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA and IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL, both showing ntoskrnl.exe as the cause.

 

I'm getting a slight urge to change my motherboard.
