yeh, nothing really wrong with asrock boards, but for $185 there are many better options

My first computer I built was using an ASRock board and have built many more since that one using ASRock boards. That first board is now going to be the subject of a frankin-computer for a friend that doesn't have the money to build a new one. Great boards.

Heyyo,

ASRock motherboards have been used in the past for achieving overclocking records tbh. They're damn cost effective. :)

They look like plastic to me....

 

What does that even mean? Like the heat sinks, the PCB, etc..?

Yes the are legittemitly good and if you ask some people also known for the pretty nice BIOS "look n' feel".
