2 monitors noob

Go to solution Solved by ADZ_123_!"£,

Aslong as both monitors are plugged into the output on the top card the it will work fine.

So I am buying the new BenQ monitor with G-Synce (24 ) and I want to use my old monitor (Asus 27) as a secondary non gaming monitor (YouTube Facebook etc.) now I currently have gtx 770s in sli one evga and one Asus both 2gb. Is it possible to run dual monitors with one using a display port for the BenQ and the other using a dvi or hdmi for non gaming?

Steam:Drift and Drift_2 <p>(name is hunter) Lets play:)

An AMD cpu has no place in a solely gaming build, end of.

^ This. It will work, but since you only have two monitors, they will have to be plugged into the same graphics card. If you had three or more, I think it doesn't matter.

I have a MARS GTX 760x2, which is pretty much two GTX 760s and I am currently running two monitors without any problem.

This is half true.  You can plug a monitor into your motherboards iGPU(For QuickSync) and one in your Discreet card and extend desktop without issues, except for hardware accelerated video...it doesn't like it when you switch monitors while playing
