Purchasing the final upgrade, is it worth it (this sound like click bait)?

The CPU of any computer is vary important if you want to render but I want to game and I don't have the money in this budget to get an i5 processor.

The game I want to possibly max out is Galactic Civilizations 3. and I have my eye on this i3 4370 CPU + cheapest H97 MOBO.

The current PC set up I have is an AMD FX 6200 with a new GTX 960.

What I want to know is the jump to this i3 processor decent enough got get away from this FX processor? and possibly I could max out settings on this game and play it at 30 FPS (note: I know 60 is the sweet spot but I want dem graphics)? if anyone has an equivalent i3 processor that runs this game please type in this thread please. if there is no difference, that is fine.

EDIT (1.1v): I have 10 GB of DDR3 RAM @800MHz, I was thinking of upgrading that to 8GB of DDR3 @1600MHz. should I drop this upgrade because it's pointless.

For gaming, I'd personally say wait to upgrade and get an i5-4440 or the like.

Otherwise, the i3-4130 isn't bad for games, but it would bottleneck a 960 by a bit.

Well I don't have any income to come by (and begging off my parents is out of the question) and my budget is around $300~ this including the game.

For the GPU, CPU and game? Hmm... GTX 960s can be had for about $200, so yeah I might just stick with the same CPU, as <$100 might not be worth it.

And the game, which is $50 on Steam.

Oh! Misread it - OP, go H81M-DS2V (around $45), i5-4440 ($180-$200), and you can get the game. Maybe off of G2A or something, but the i5 is well worth it.

I'll take this into consideration. but my bank hates Superbizz. so it's questionable to say the least.

Okay Final question. I forgot to say this originally but I was thinking of purchasing new RAM, mostly because of the low 800MHz speed (I have 10GB of DDR3, which is more than fine for capacity). but if I remove that from my budget I can get the higher i5 CPU. sorry I forgot to mention this, going to edit this now.

Wait, you don't have 800Mhz DDR3 RAM.  You have 1600Mhz running in dual channel mode, 800 Mhz each channel.  Is this correct?

I can't tell...wait NVM. I do have the speed. it looked like certain components are not operating at there rated speed but it dose. so RAM upgrade is never needed so at least I found out several things. thanks either way. sorry for wasting your time.
