So i have an R7 260x in my rig and i love it but my plan in the future is to have a triple monitor set up just to play low or medium games in triple monitor mode and also to help my current card with game like GTA 5 and i was A) wondering if my thermal take 500 watt power supply is good enough and B )聽if it is worth getting another R7 or just saving up and like getting an $300 or $400 card. I dont have a desire to play intensive games on 3 monitors so i just think that getting another R7 would be fine but what do u guys think.

Thanks

Your current graphics card should be fine for 1080p. Auxiliary displays use very few resources.

If you plan to game in 1080p surround, you should first upgrade your graphics card.

If you ever need help with a build, read the following before posting: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/3061-build-plan-thread-recommendations-please-read-before-posting/

I would get at least a 280x/290. A 290 will be much better for handling 3 monitors. Also are you going 1080p or 1440p?

I use 500W PSU for my FX6350 and R9 285 and it appears to be working jsut fine. Upgrading the card shouldn't be a problem to some degree. How much would and R7 cost you? I think you could even upgrade the card but then you're walking on the edge. And as for performance I don't believe SLI / Crossfire are worth it whatever below GTX 970 / R9 290 you use.
