Is this laptops CPU Upgradeable?

Just a question for you all... I have just purchased a Laptop (In non-working just parts are missing should be easy...) and I will prob use it for somthing good. Is this laptop

Model Number: G60VX-RBBX05 and the CPU Is a Intel Centrino...

And I am wondering. If this can be upgraded to somthing faster. Like icore cpus if not I'll have to stick with It or try to look for somthing that sucks less then a Centrino.. anyone got any ideas?

After quick googling it seems like this laptop is only compatible with Core 2 CPUs and the best you can get is the X9100. And looking at the price I don't really think it's worth it.

Any unknown button should be pressed even number of times.

Some laptop cpu's can be upgraded, but most of the time it will lead to bios incompatibilities as it is not meant to run with a different chip. I'm also not sure f i series chips have the same socket as centrino chips

Even if it WAS upgradable, you could not use the new processors as they use a different socket

 

probably best selling it and buy a new one - besides, laptop CPUs are crazy expensive
