Well, with an i7, GTX 1080, Full tower and flashy lights, it can obviously only be for one thing:

AMD is sluggish...

You gotta realize something. (I am not an AMD fanboy but this is some things to think about). AMD is broad. Intel has SSDs now but is mainly CPUs and that is what they mainly focus on. Nvidia is just GPUs so they can focus that. AMD has CPUs, GPUs, and RAM (wouldn't recommend it but hey it is out there) so they got their resources in different directions.

The RAM is probably fine, like any other RAM :P

Intel makes CPUs, Wireless Cards, chipsets (With lots of functions), SSD's, NICS, and more...

The excuse AMD is a broader company than Intel/ Nvidia isn't a very valid one.

@OP: Rumors of AMD Zen CPU's point to an early to mid 2016 release.

Intel makes CPUs (much bigger range than AMD), SSDs, motherboards, NUCs. Their production is big, so AMDsold cpu line, RAM (not very popular) and GPU (again mostly reference moments).

AMD just can not keep up in terms of speed and efficiency/architecture of Intels CPUs, so Intel can keep calm. I bet  Intel have better CPUs allready, just there is no need to put them to market, if Intel market share is growing.
