Uppgrade to 1440p?

Go to solution Solved by Tim Drake,

2 x 970s plz, newer games are getting hard to run at 60fps ultra but if you're fine with turning down some settings, then go for it!

Should i upgrade to 1440p?

Specs: i7 4790k and Gtx 970

Games i'll be playing:

CSGO

GTA5

Witcher 3

The 1440p monitor im looking at the moment supports G-sync so 60fps in every game is not required (i atleast want 35 minimum fps) and i know Witcher 3 on high is about 40/50 fps on the gtx970.

But should i just no bother and get a cheaper 1080p monitor? It would be really unfortunate for older titles to look even more shit than they already do. But otherwise if i get 144hz 1080p monitor i can also turn games on Ultra.

So what is your guys opinion?

1440p is great for productivity. And I think it is worth it for gaming too. (Running PB278QR here + 980 G1 Gaming)

Plz do yourself a favour by getting an IPS / PLS panel. Colours are simply gorgeous!

You know the r9 290x is just slightly better than the gtx970. And im team green so no 290x for me (i dont have anything against AMD i have just gotten used to the nvidia features).

I ment the 8gb version and your opinion is the only one that counts.
