One speaker doesn't want to function now...

Hey guys, so I did something last night that may or may not be kind of stupid.

I moved the receiver that was on the tv at the other side of the room under my monitor, so it's kind of like a monitor stand, and I also moved the monitor speakers that were on it (the front left and right of a carver 5.1 setup that we have) under my desktop monitors.

When I play something through the receiver, only the right channel is functioning, and I don't know why, as both carver speakers are definitely still functioning. When I turned the volume on the receiver up, I got a little bit of sound for a second before it cut out. Any idea why this might be? Could one of the Channels on the receiver gone bad? (It's a Denon AVR-4306)

Thanks for any suggestions?

Mine kinda does this.

THe speaker wont turn on intil it gets to a certain volume, but then stays on.

For me its left, different speakers, different receivers.

Only problem is that I can't get the sound to come back, and it doesn't matter what volume (I turned it up and down all the way, and nothing...)

I'm assuming that you tried swapping speakers?  Then speakers AND speaker cables?  With the same results?

Double check the cable, and listen to see if there is a buzzing sound coming from the speaker, if there is no buzzing then the speaker is not connected properly, also double check the audio output on the receiver with the other speaker to confirm that the out port didn't stop working

*looks at the ground meekly* no... I will though... I just didn't want to have to move my desk that now has 300+ lbs of stuff on it away from the wall...
