Witcher 3 Driver crash

I'm pretty sure I finally fixed it. What I did was follow this guide to uninstall the drivers properly, and clean installed driver 347.88, no geforce experience (no idea if this last part is necesarry though). It seems to have completely solved the driver crashes on The witcher 3 (I played for about an hour no problem), and I think my frames actually improved a bit!

 

The funny thing that the newer nvidia driver version was designed for Witcher 3.

Yesterday the Witcher 3 Patch 1.03 was released and it actually solved alot of issues for me.

 

1. Better performance overall on Ultra (2x 970 SLI) meaning that i have less dips below 60fps

2. Better performance in interiors (before the patch going INSIDE a building dropped my FPS by 20 ... why the hell would interior be harder to render than the outside? ^^)

3. No driver crashes, ordinary crashes or freezes since the patch ...

4. also i think the game looks better with the additional Sharpness setting, but that could just be me or placebo ^^

 

I'm still using the Witcher 3 Driver 352.86 ...

 

EDIT: After having played for 14 consecutive hours today (that was sooo sweet, love sundays) I gotta say: absolutely no crashes! Patch 1.03 fixed all issues for me.

Hey Folks!

 

Just wanted to let you know that patch 1.04 reintroduced some issues for me.

Worst of all: the driver crashes are back and this time more frequent (once every hour or so) ...

 

Also I've noticed strong shimmering / flickering on textures (think its an AA issue) ...

Furthermore NPCs fade in ... sometimes when I ride into a village i'll see nobody for the first 3-4 sec, after that suddenly everyone fades in - but this isn't Star Trek ^^

Well guys, where do i sign up for the "Nvidia Driver crash while playing Witcher 3" club membership? because Im having this crap happening to me from time to time, its very random.

 

Heck my PC even freezes all together most of the time, it even had that happen while not playing a game once.

 

No GPU OC on my 980, and temps are aroudn the 70s
Tried with Game settigns down to Medium/high.

 

I´ll try reinstalling the drivers and see if that helps.

I'm getting the same thing, but even just when browsing the web. It's only happened since I've installed the latest drivers--352.86. Going to try a clean reinstall of the drivers, too.

WELL, I must have been the last person in the world to download the 352.86 driver from NVIDIA, because upon restart, the 353.06 driver is live. THANKS 980TI.

I'm getting the same thing, but even just when browsing the web. It's only happened since I've installed the latest drivers--352.86. Going to try a clean reinstall of the drivers, too.

I have this problem as well.

The Witcher 3 regularly crashes my new PC with an evga gtx 970. The screen goes black and I have to reset. Hopefully they'll fix it soon in the patches. Next one's out tuesday I think.
