What kind of dollars are you using?

What's the system being used for?

Is the optical drive really necessary?

Why such a large psu? Are you planning to sli?

SP120 PE's aren't worth getting over QE's.

The aftermarket thermal paste is unnecessary. The cooler comes with good preapplied paste.

This is all in american dollars, I am planning on editing, no sli, large psu just in case(I believe I saw a video by Linus saying that it is good just in case something dumb happens), The PE's have more aiflow and I do not mind the noise, and I don't know the best optical drive to get.

I would change the cooler to a nh-d15 if possible. actually gives better performance for the same price.

Hello questean and welcome to the forum :)

The build looks good and it should be pretty powerful (enough for what you need it for).
Since you are going for editing, I would suggest checking out some larger storage options. Editing tends to write lots of temporary data on the drive and the SSD will fill up pretty quickly. I would recommend installing the editing software on the SSD for better and smoother performance. However, if you plan on working with files off the HDD, I would suggest checking out WD Black drives: http://products.wdc.com/support/kb.ashx?id=FSXxUQThey are designed for performance, handle multitasking better and have longer warranty.

Thank you very much Captain_WD i changed my HDD to a 2-Tbyte black series running at 7200RPM I was curious if you felt I needed a 256gb SSD. I am only planning on putting in the OS, Adobe Suite, Video Editing Software, and some games. Also do you think it is ok that I brought my psu down to 600w it is the corsair cx 600w. Thank you!

Well depends on how much space you would need. Usually the OS with all of its updates and drivers requires about 40GBs. That would leave you with about 200GBs for your editing software, games and all the files that you would work with as well as some free space for the backups and temporary files that the editing applications would create. It's up to you to decide if it's large enough or you would need more space. :)
You should be good with a 600W PSU even if you OC the CPU. :)

I probably wont overclock the cpu too hard because I want this baby to last for as long as it can. I have decided to go with the h100i as my cpu cooler and an 850 evo samsung 120gb SSD which I'll upgrade as necessary. Lastly the c70 case aleady has 3 120mm fans in it, my gpu has 3 built in, and i am going to have 2 for my cpu, DO I NEED MORE? lol but seriously do I need anymore considering my desired applications?

What kind of editing? Programs being used?

Is the optical drive even necessary is what I'm asking.

No point getting an aftermarket cooler if you're not going to oc.

Thank you and will overclocking kill a CPU early?

It shouldn't an issue if voltages and temps are kept in check. The difference if at all would be like going from 10+ years to 5+ years with increased voltage.

Mind answering the question about the optical drive?
