Hello again! I simply have a question on which combination of parts you would choose for my next build. I want a good upgrade path for processors and possible future upgrading, and I want SPEED, and I can't really decide which build I should go with. So what do you guys think? BTW my budget is $850CAD with 13% Manitoba taxes.

Build 2: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/88nR8d

EDIT: I made a big mistake... the H81I doesn't have a PCI-E 3.0 16x slot, only a 2.0, so my only choices are between 1 and 2.

g3258 but with just a hard drive, and/or a last gen graphics card that is as powerful, but uses more power, also missing a power supply

*edit realized a r9 285 is the same as a 960 so nvm and a 970 is to expensive with the 13% tax

Build 3 if the motherboard comes with a refresh ready bios.

System CPU : Ryzen 9 5950 doing whatever PBO lets it. Motherboard : Asus B550 Wifi II RAM 80GB 3600 CL 18 2x 32GB 2x 8GB GPUs Vega 56 & Tesla M40 Corsair 4000D Storage: many and varied small (512GB-1TB) SSD + 5TB WD Green PSU 1000W EVGA GOLD

You can trust me, I'm from the Internet.

What's the system being used for?

What do you mean by speed?

Speed/snappiness over power? Third.

EDIT: If you're wanting gaming performance though, go with the first, and think about a 280x instead. You'll fit only a couple games on the third one.

I don't do signatures.

I have a power supply already, 450W. I am pretty set on the 960 so I don't think I'll change that. Thanks for the suggestion!

Mostly gaming and internet stuffs, and by speed I mean startup times, load times, gaming performance and stuff like that.

In that case, you'd definitely want a ssd.

It seems like you're choosing between a ssd and hdd? What's with that?

Yeah gaming performance is what I meant, I always forget to specify things (stupid brain), I did think about the 280x, but I think I'm set on the 960. Thank you!

I say option 1 with a H97I AC sub for the motherboard and a WD Black2 for the SSD/HDD.

Source - Recently built a low end i5 build for a friend with a Windforce 2x 960 with that motherboard and it had done really good. I suggest getting a fan hub though as there isn't many on ITX boards but other than that I like what its done so far.

I can't get the H97I AC at the store I shop at, they only have the Z97I AC / Gaming variants. :( The case i'm getting only has 1 fan built in so I should be fine for now. Thank you!

Alright then, and NP! BTW, if you're using this for everything (games and movies on a large scale), then it might be worth thinking about a 2TB Barracuda or WD blue.
