So I already have a desktop with a R9 290 and a core i5 4690K. However I found out I have cancer. Going to basically be spending the next year getting a transplant and its not practical to bring my tower. I'm fairly in the know when it comes to desktop hardware but I've avoided laptops because everyone always says that it's so much better to build your own and that gaming laptops are hugely overpriced. As a result I'm not familiar with build quality of laptop or pre-made computer brands. I really don't have another option now other than a gaming laptop nor the time to properly research as I need to order it within the next day or so. Budget is pretty flexible with in reason although I don't want to spend money just for flash. If the money is actually going to get me a much higher quality product then thats fine. If not I'd rather not spend it. My target games are GTA 5 and Starwars Battlefront. Thanks for your input.

Between $1500 and $2000. I'd prefer closer to $1500 but I can do $2000 if thats really what it takes to get something that isn't garbage.

here's the opened box one, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834152684R, the brand new one never before opened is up near the top. This will run basically anygame Max settings. VRAM? No,issue got 6gbs of that, nice CPU 16gb of ram 1tb and a 128gb SSD, comes with windows ect ect.. And it's got a SteelSeries RGB keyboard in it so it's also quality in that category.

I had a 17.3" laptop and it's really too big.

OP is probably better off with a 15.6"

this 17.3 inch notebook also ways less then 6 pounds. If someone that is used to playing on a PC with 24-27inch monitors the 17.3 inch will seem small.

Clevo P650SE, or the P650SG if you want. Difference between the 2 is the GPU. The SE has the 970M, and the SG has the 980M. Sager calls their variants the NP865x series.
