Recommendations for a PSU?

cheeze_tartz

Trying to look for a PSU under $60 to power a 4690K and GTX 970. Currently looking at the CX600M but people say it's a bad PSU. I would like at least a semi-modular.

The CX 600 is OK. Not anything amazing, but it works perfectly fine from my experience. Look at anything Antec, EVGA, Corsair, Silverstone, or XFX in your price range.

I don't think the CX600 is a bad psu I have been using it in my rig for a year and a half now, but not being modular can be a pain for cable management depending on the case.

This isn't really relevant to the topic but I couldn't help but notice what the binary in your signature said and I'd recommend you change it before someone reports your account. I get that your account has a troll theme but there's a line that you shouldn't cross.

People are wrong. Bad PSU's are Diablotek, Coolmax, Startec, etc.

It's not an explicitly bad PSU but considering that OP is looking to get the modular version which is already $60, it's worth the extra $10 to get the GS550 for the much higher build quality (Seasonic-made), better electrical performance, better efficiency, full modularity, and hybrid fan.
