Need a new router

Hello all. I had made a post over on teksyndicate about a network issue i am having and i was told over there that i need to get a new router. I would like to hear some input on the situation from you guys over here and if you could recommend me a router (on amazon) to get it would be greatly appriciated.

ASUS RT-AC66U is pretty nice, I've got one and absolutely love it, or you could get the ASUS RT-N66U instead if you want something cheaper. (Last I heard, linus uses the N66U for something in the office and loves it, not sure if he got a different one since then or us using ethernet instead.)

Tp-link archer c5 is a nice value at the moment. has everything an average person would need for a nice average price.

I use this.
