h100i temp problem?

Go to solution Solved by jamesisninja,

Yeah, I don't see a problem here, those are pretty normal..

So here's my situation.

I am concerned with the h100i i'm using.

Ambient temp: 27.4 C

h100i water temp: 29.1 C (2 fans running @ 835 rpm)

3770k idle: 34~35 C

----------------------------------------

other numbers:

GTX 660ti: 32 C

motherboard: 31 C

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Using MSI's OC Genie my cpu overclocks to 4.2ghz

CPU idle: 36~38 C

W/ Prime95: 64~67 C (2 fans pushing out ~1900rpm)

W/out OC Genie

CPU (stock) Prime95: 64~67 C (2 fans pushing out ~1900rpm)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I can't tell if this cooler is really working for me or not.

Also, i just recently reapplied thermal paste using the 'pea' method. I also added extra washers to the backplate to keep it tight. before, i had it loose and cpu temp reported pretty much the same.

comments are greatly appreciated.

try overclocking, add more voltage, that's the only way to really know.

better heatsinks separate themselves when you put them under more stress, not less.

also what's the room ambient temp.

Everything looks fine to me here. Maybe you just have an awesome chip or your OC isn't acctually being applied.

1.2 volts is good, but probably can be better.
