If you mean files shared in the cloud from pc to pc - I love dropbox, perfect for school as well as home use

CPU: I7 4790K(4.6@1.252v)                               Case: Fractal Design Define R5 Windowed(Black)           Cooler: CM 212 EVO + NF F12 iPPC

RAM: HyperX Fury 1600MHZ CL10 2x4GB      Storage: Samsung 850 EVO(250GB) + WD Red(2TB)      PSU: Corsair RM750 (and no, it hasn't blown up!)

MoBo: Asus Maximus VII Ranger                      Graphics: MSI GTX 970 TwinFrozr (1494MHZ Core)       OS: Windows 10 Enterprise

I am using Owncloud because my mate's grandfather (with 2 GTX Titans he bought after launch) actually allowed us to use one his computers as a server. Now has been running Ubuntu Server 14.04 for more than a year now and it is great. The processor is an i5 of the 4th generation (don't remember the details) and it runs with 8GB RAM and a 500GB HDD. It is an insane setup for a Teamspeak / Minetest / Gmod / Minecraft / Owncloud server. He has a 100 Mbit connection but only with 16Mbit upload.

On Windows: robocopy because it's free and included in Windows... nothing to download or install.

On Linux: rsync

If you're talking about cloud storage: I use OwnCloud.
