I was told it was a pretty sweet chip, I tried to push for 4.9 and was going to go for 5.0 but the voltage jump was going past 1.3V.

Yea, that's more than just a sweet chip xD

Lucked into the jackpot there mate. Well, the overclocker's jackpot.

If you can stay under 80c, itd be safe to run that 5.0@1.3v, or whatever voltage was required. 1.35v is my limit.

EDIT: So, 1.52v for haswell is apparently Intel's reccomended threshold. So I'd say its safe until there, but not very many of us have the cooling to get there.

I tired 4.9GHz @ 1.315V but and I did a quick stress test for only 30 mins though. My temps are pretty good only being around ~72C for 4.9GHz. Wasn't sure if I should push it more since the voltage jump was pretty big between 4.8 to 4.9.

1.52v is Intel's reccomended max, so uh, maybe hit 5.0ghz and bench it.

Hmm that's pretty high, I'd probably give it a go with a little more voltage at 1.35V but definitely won't keep it as a daily OC.

I wouldn't expect you to. I personally won't have a daily OC when I get my cryorig H5, as 4.0GHZ, Four cores, and four Hyperthreads is enough for me, coming from an arrandale 1.06ghz to 2.3ghz dual core with hyperthreading.

Was running 4.6 24/7 at 1.28v, and 4.9 to 5.1 for benchmarking, depending on which benchmark it was at anywhere from 1.475 to 1.65v.

The benchmarking at 4.9/5.0/5.1 also had overclocked ram (2133 to 2400), as well as overclocked cache, from the stock 4.0 cache to 4.7 cache. Cache voltage was around 1.6v.

It's actually not worth it. I can run 4.9 ghz at 1.29 volts but need a additional .08 volts to hit 5 ghz..
