Hey all,

So I'm new and this is probably the first forum I have joined since... 2005?

Anyway I'm looking for help a few things.

I have this coolermaster itx case and am looking for a far better air cooling solution than what it comes with.

It can take a 120x25mm and 80x15mm fan and that's pretty much it. There is space for an additional 120 but its on a hard drive rack which I'm planning on removing.

With regards to the Hard Drive rack if anyone has any tips on ripping out what appear to be screws with a circle cut out where a phillips head should be that would be lovely.  :D

In addition to this I'm looking for a low profile CPU cooler. I just added a chunky GTX 970 which has made a tighter build even tighter and my i5 2320 (a bit meh) idles around 63 deg which isnt great although it is on a poop stock cooler.

I'm also after advice on a small as possible modular 500w PSU again as quiet as possible.

This system is to replace console set up in the living room... entirely. It will be running from my desk to my TV over a 10ft HDMI2.0 with my main monitor on DVI.

So there we go :)

The Be quiet Shadow Rock LP CPU cooler is pretty awesome. Low profile, quiet and good cooling performance.

For a small 500w PSU I would recommend a gold rated SFX PSU from Silverstone. They are modular.

As for the case fans I'd go with Noctua fans. They are relativeley quiet for the amount of air they push. Something like a NF F12 for the 12 cm one. No idea where to find a 80x15 mm one though. Can't you fit a regular 80 mm fan there?

Something like bequiet fans would also be a really good choice for silence. But since your case has only few fan spots, i'd populate them with the stronger noctuas.

As for the CPU cooler you could go with something like the bequiet Shadow Rock - Topflow. It's no extreme cooler but it will cool your CPU niceley while being super quiet.

who cares...

i'm guessing those would be rivets. best way to remove those is to drill through them with a small drill. this way you can replace them with a far better solution later on like bolts and nuts or even zipties.

honestly, it's a disgrace they even use rivets on stuff like that in a case!

Well this is the thing. I was given them for free from cooler master as a sponsor (got four in total) to set up gaming rigs for our charity gaming marathons because were just flat out DONE with consoles. So I gave the other three to my friends and this one...THIS ONE is the ONLY ONE with rivets in this space. The rest have screws. I should have known they were rivets but my brain is fried this week lol.
