Hello

So I normally live in the U.S, but will be staying in Berlin for three months for the summer. So the hotel I'm staying at has decent internet when it works. When I'm downloading a game on steam it normally downloads at 5-6 mbs. http://www.speedtest.net/says I get around a ping of 26 and a download speed of 28, upload speed of 4.5mps. Not sure if that's good or not.

So the problem is, very often when i go to certain sites, ex. hotmail, youtube, twitter, random sites, etc I get a blank page and a error. The error I most commonly get when I try to access certain sites is DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NXDOMAIN or sometimes DNS_PROBE_FINISHED_NO_INTERNET, or something DNS with name.

Is this just a problem with my laptop and Berlin's wifi? I tried a few solutions online, and even asked the hotel with no luck.

Anything I can do about it?

Quick google search, came up with this:

Try this. Beings this issue is a DNS issue, on Windows 7 go to Start>type "services.msc" without quotes and look for "DNS Client". Right click "DNS Client" and click Restart. Once finished, close Chrome and reopen the webpage. Should work for you.

Windows 8 user same theory with the "services.msc" but to get there, either swipe in from the right, Windows key + C, or put mouse cursor to the top right or bottom of the screen. Click search and type in "services.msc" no quotes. Hope this helps!

If you've tried that already, try using another browser to see if it's chrome (?) thats having a hard time for some reason. Try using IE or if you another browser installed like FF or Opera.

That's the only thing I can come up with right now.
