Hi,

I will, in the next month, build a htpc for my new tv (LG 49UB8200 49IN 4K 120Hz Smart WiFi IPS LED TV) that I just bought. the htpc won,t be use for any gaming, maybe we browsing and video.

Here's what i want to build so far.

intel pentium g3220

4go ram

128 go ssd

Am I wondering if the HD4600 will be enough to be able either to play local videos or stream over my plex server ( all 1080p movies)

I searched and i didn't find any definitive answer.

Thanks for any advice

I had my hd 4600 graphics running my 1080p monitor for a bit. It pretty much only ran games at their lowest settings, but I'm not really sure how it would be just streaming/browsing. Apparently in another thread it was possible

Heyyo,

In the odd event that Windows Media Player starts giving you grief when trying to playback videos? Just use VLC Media Player. I've found it works great on any hardware setup where-as Windows Media Player has given me stuttering in the past.
