Ordered a cherry mx blue filco for my mom. The box was correct, but the keyboard i opened inside was a cherry mx red keyboard.... how do i explain this to amazon. or will they not ask too much questions. their phone support is closed right now so i will try calling tommorow but just want some feedback. 

 

Has it ever happened to anyone? Right box wrong product?

I'm sure it happens. 

Just tell them you received the wrong product despite it being in the right packaging, it'll be no problem.

sounds like a packing error to me, call amazon when you can they'll replace it with very little hassle. amazon have a very good customer service.

Why can't Intel have made that mistake with my 3570K and given me a 3770K?!?!?!?!

 

 

Seriously: Just call them, explain that you've received the wrong product, and would like to get it exchanged for the one you ordered. They shouldn't have any problems.

If you ordered directly from Amazon, then just create a return order and choose to receive a replacement.  They'll send out a new one right away, and you can return the old one anytime within 30 days.

 

If you ordered from an alternate seller, then you might have to go contact that seller directly.

Don't explain to them that it has the wrong switches, just tell them that it wasn't the product that you ordered. They will gladly take it back.

<p>I would just show them a picture with your cherry mx red keyboard by taking off one of the keycaps to show the switch and the box in order to try to get a exchange. A copy of the proof of purchase is also a good thing to attach when you are contacting them.</p>

Yeah I've had it happen both ways.  Ya get something better ya keep your mouth shut.  If you get something worse you complain.  At least their process is easy.  You don't need to use the phone.

 

edit:  Just RMA it as wrong product and order another one.
