Is it possible to use a nas running freenas for a backup at my house with my pc at work? Different network but can it be done?

VPN's are finicky bastards, just a heads up

Took me nearly a week of tweaking to get my VPN setup and working perfectly. Course I wanted/needed L2TP w/ IPSec for end-to-end encryption. I couldn't get PPTP to work on my iPhones, so I had to figure out what would work. But now that I have it setup, its awesome. No matter where I am, I just dial back home and I can access my server and anything else on my network. Plus it's 100x more secure than just opening ports.
