I have two separate systems: a Dell Inspiron 530s and a Lenovo Thinkcenter (not sure what model).

Dell Inspiron 530s:

Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 @ 2.8GHz Dual Core

XFX AMD Radeon HD 5450 1GB GDDR3

3GB RAM (Long story)

Lenovo:

Intel Pentium E5500 @ 2.8GHz Dual Core

Intel G41 Graphics

4GB RAM

My Dell scores a 6 in gaming graphics but a 4.2 in Windows Aero. The Lenovo scores a 3.5 for gaming but a 4.3 in Windows Aero. So my question is, how does a terrible integrated beat a some what better PCIe graphics card @ Windows Aero performance.

Dell:

Dell Inspiron 530s

Lenovo:

Lenovo Thinkcenter

Intel integrated graphics are pretty much the baseline when it comes to Aero. The G33 graphics on my old motherboard smoked the Quadro NVS 110M in my laptop with Windows Aero, and the Quadro has 256MB vRAM as well and is a far more powerful GPU.
